2013 Revised: L.A. Movie Tix That Are Cheaper Than Renting

Remember when you could see a movie on the big screen for just a nickel?  Yeah, neither do I, but still, movie-going has gotten so expensive, that it's easier to just stay at home and order flicks on-demand.  But that's no solution all the time.  What are we, hermits hiding out in a zombie apocalypse?  No!  We need to unplug and get out of the house.

Luckily, there are still some places where you can see a movie in a theater without selling your first-born child.
Some of these theater tickets cost less than renting at Redbox or on-demand, and others are a little pricier but still cheaper than the high-end movie theaters.  And let's not forget the wallet-eating snacks; many of these theaters will save you a bundle on popcorn and drinks, too.  You may have to drive a little out of your way and wait an extra month or two for the current blockbusters to rotate into these movie houses but hey, you get to keep all your children and you don't have to live like a post-apocalyptic survivor.  Win/win.

(And if you're really hurting in the economic department, don't forget there are FREE film screenings which are listed on this blog each month under Free Stuff.)
