2 Free Resources for Performers

Here are two free resources that performers anywhere can access online.  Click on the resource titles below to link to the websites:


International Dialects of English Archive:  This is a website with reference recordings of various English dialects and accents when you need to brush up for a role or an audition.  American and Brit accents are just the beginning of the website's offerings. The dialects range from various African, South American, European, Middle Eastern, Asian countries and more. Great for actors as well as singers.

The VoiceOver Insider Magazine:    This is a magazine published monthly that includes informative articles, tips, and product reviews for voiceover actors.  In order to receive the magazine, you just need to submit an online form when you link to the website.  The newest issue contains the following articles:

  • "VO By The Book" (Article)
  • "Break Into Radio Imaging" (Product Review)
  • "Casting for the Best" (Article)
  • "Getting Into ISDN" (Article)
  • "Mouth Noise" (Article)
